In this tight job market, you need all the help you can get. A degree from the University of Memphis Department of Journalism is the first step. Beyond your education, however, you will also benefit from contacts in the profession.
The University of Memphis Journalism Alumni Mentorship Program is designed to assist you in networking with professionals in the journalism industry. It’s also a way for you to get advice from someone who has found success in this highly competitive field. You’ll also get the chance to go inside professional journalism organizations and see what it’s like to layout a newspaper, design an ad, implement a P.R. campaign or produce a local newscast!
Here are some the companies where students like you are being mentored:
- FedEx
- Medtronic
- The Commercial Appeal
- The Memphis Business Journal
- Fox 13
- WREG Channel 3
