The Dow Jones Editing Test is on Oct. 25 at 3:30

In case you haven’t heard, the Dow Jones Editing Test will be offered on October 25 from 3:30-4:30 in Room 300 at the Meeman Journalism Building on the University of Memphis campus.

From Dr. David Arant:

“Last year U of M journalism student Amy Barnette took the Dow Jones Editing Test, and won a newspaper internship in St. Paul, Minn., which led to a permanent job. It all started with the Dow Jones Editing Test she took last October.

If you are interested in editing, then here’s your chance. I will administer the test from 3:30-4:30, Tuesday, Oct. 25, in Meeman Room 300. Please email me (darant@memphis.edu) that you plan to take the test.

Before you take the test, you must log in at https://www.newsfund.org and apply for the internship. Click on 2012 Internship Applications Available Now and follow the instructions. There are sports editing and multimedia as well as news editing programs. You can apply for all three, if you’d like. There are links to past tests to help you prepare.”
