Title: Graphic Design Intern for DMAG

Description: The successful candidate will be currently pursuing a degree in graphic design. Duties will include but not limited to: Helping with graphic design, advertising, event planning, and field promotions. We’re looking for people who are creative problem solvers. You must be organized; self motivated, and must have an exceptional level of attention to detail. The most successful interns have an interest in marketing, writing, editing, advertising, or graphic design. Must be energetic, analytical, work well under deadlines, and are able to juggle many projects. This is a NON PAID internship. The internship starts on May 31, 2012 and ends November 21, 2012.

Responsibilities:
Prepare and design marketing material
Conduct research for a variation of marketing projects
Assist with the creation of marketing collateral both print and digital (e.g. emails, ads, packaging)
Assist with the design of web pages
Experience in designing posters, flyers, newsletters for external and internal needs / or strong portfolio is recommended.
Prepare material for clients and internal meetings
Qualifications:
Generally requires formal training beyond high school
Must be motivated, driven, and passionate about design and technology.
Knowledgeable of various computer software and programs including MS Office, Gimp
Skilled in planning, organizing, creating print marketing items
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong judgment, decision-making and organizational skills a must.
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments
Ability to work under short deadlines and produce work quickly.
Ability to communicate with co-workers and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner
Must be a team player and possess the ability to work with moderate supervision
Motivated and willing to bring new ideas
