Description: The Tech Council of Maryland is currently seeking a Communications Specialist to join the events and marketing team.  Assist with design, programming, updates and maintenance of association website.  Write copy for newsletters, website, event marketing, member surveys, membership directory and other association materials.

Administer association’s social media presence and outreach.  Produce marketing pieces to communicate association events and membership benefits.  Assist in the development of collateral materials designed to promote the organization’s events.  Some event planning and on-site event logistics and administration. Position reports directly to the Vice President of Marketing and Operations.  Duties may include projects as assigned by the Vice President of Marketing and Operations.

To apply: The Communications Specialist will have at least 1-3 years of experience with communications, writing, websites, social media and marketing.  Prior association experience helpful but not mandatory.  Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects and complete them on a timely basis.  Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and databases. Graphic experience helpful.  Excellent business writing and verbal communication skills.  Experience event planning and programs, including social networking.  Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
